Welcome there!
My name is Kateryna Aleshchenko, a certified yoga instructor with five years of experience leading both group and individual sessions. Lead classes in Ukrainian and English.
With enough experience to support a wide range of needs, my focus is always on improving both the physical and mental state. even within a single session.
The journey into yoga began in a group class where the phrase “breathe into your belly” left me puzzled (which organ is supposed to breathe?). At the time, I held the title of Master of Sports in aero-step, and it frustrated me that the quiet folks on neighboring mats could do headstands in a beginner class — while I couldn’t lift off.
Still, the practice kept calling. Over time, teacher training, professional seminars, yoga retreats, and countless questions to mentors gradually shaped a new understanding. Step by step, the path unfolded.
Current projects (in Ukrainian):● Yoga for English Learners — a short video course and free learning materials for those wanting to understand English-speaking teachers or teach yoga in English themselves.● Yoga with Eyes Closed — video and audio sessions for those who prefer to practice at home without a screen. This project was born out of experience leading in-person practices with eyes closed.● Build Your Pincha Mayurasana — a video course designed to help you learn the forearm stand from scratch.
Yoga, to me, is both a pair of wings in good times and a lifeline in difficult ones. And I believe it can be that for others too.
